Nickfest60 - Shoot for a family friend
Last Saturday I was asked to take a few photographs for a family friend as they had arrange a big party to celebrate a 60th Birthday. The event took place in a field with live music, gin bar, hog-roast, magician and more, perfect for candid shots.
The evening was blessed with great weather and as the sun came down it provided great golden tones in the photos. The hours went fast and before I knew it I had racked up over 500 photos across the two cameras providing a variety of close ups and wide angle shots.
Being outdoors in a field meant after the sun went down I was very limited on what could be photographed and due to the event being a family event I put the camera away instead of turning the flashgun up and lighting the whole field up each time I took a photo.
After the event I had turned the photos round by midday the next day and all the photos were approved. A great shoot that I am really proud of and look forward to my next event shoot in September.
