DATA CENTRE.

For the second consecutive year, I had the privilege of returning to the Data Centre Transformation event at IET Birmingham: Austin Court, capturing both photography and videography throughout the day. This year’s event offered a unique opportunity to showcase a variety of content, from the dynamic networking sessions to the thought-provoking speakers and engaging workshops.

My coverage of the event included a combination of high quality stills and a comprehensive recap video. The video will not only serve to promote the upcoming 2025 event but also provide an immersive overview of everything that took place, allowing attendees and future participants to relive the event’s key moments. Additionally, I set up a stationary camera to capture every speaker across multiple sessions, ensuring no important moment was missed.

The day was packed with valuable networking opportunities, sponsor showcases, insightful discussions, and keynote speeches. While the main theatre presented some logistical challenges, specifically limited space and restricted movement, I opted to work solo. This decision proved to be crucial, as it minimised disruption in a tight environment, allowing me to focus on getting the perfect shots without creating unnecessary distractions.

A simple yet effective setup allowed for a smooth workflow: with static cameras positioned to stage along with my two other cameras, I was able to capture a diverse range of content, from wide-angle shots to close-ups of the speakers, offering a comprehensive perspective of the entire event.

Overall, the event was straightforward to capture, but the strategic camera placement and careful attention to the flow of the day ensured that every moment was documented professionally and cohesively.
