SIRUS.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Vicky from Thrive Marketing for several years, and one of her clients is Sirus Automotive. An incredible company that specialises in making vehicles more accessible. Over the years, I’ve created a wide range of automotive photography and videography for Sirus, and in Summer and Autumn 2024, I worked on two particularly unique projects for them.
The first project took place in the West Midlands and focused on capturing a converted VW. The shoot aimed to highlight the vehicle’s build quality, key features, accessibility, and overall practicality. As with any shoot involving both photography and videography, there were a number of specific requirements outlined in the brief, making it a challenging yet exciting task to cover both mediums seamlessly.
The second project took me quite a bit further than the West Midlands, down to Plymouth, to be exact. Having worked around Sirus and their vehicles, I was familiar with their vision and requirements, this time it was a Ford. This is why I was entrusted with heading to the bottom of the country to ensure everything was done right the first time, especially given the tight timeline.
For this shoot, I was tasked with capturing only the photographic elements, as the images were intended for a magazine publication. Due to the nature of the shoot, it was critical to work around the vehicle owner’s schedule and the weather. I made sure to clean and prep the vehicle first, before inviting the owner outside for the photoshoot in the frosty October air. My pre-brief with Sirus proved valuable, allowing me to work efficiently without wasting time. Once the shots were in the bag, the owner could warm up inside while I wrapped up any final details before making the long drive back home.
Both shoots were an absolute pleasure to be a part of, with fantastic vehicle owners and the opportunity to capture some truly special vehicles. It’s always great to collaborate with Sirus and Vicky, and I’m excited to continue working on future projects with them.
